Control knob snapped off of panel.

Screw drivers, swearing.

Thank goodness this little washer was free! laundry room door snapped the knob off of the control panel, and there is NO replacing or fixing that thing. took everything apart, no problem, ordered the part which got here THE NEXT DAY [which was amazing], and was all set to put everything back together...and then of course, something had to be not quite right. ugh. the stem of the knob was not pulled all the way through the plastic neck of the new control panel, and i was absolutely convinced that if i forced it, i would be ordering ANOTHER control panel cover. not doing that. So i ended up calling the most awesome and patient appliance repair guy who magically got it through, and put everything back together again for me. i don't know if that's the standard way they come, which would be dumb, or there was some mishap in the production line on the part i ordered, but my washer is whole and working again, and my parrots learned some new swear words. but really super happy with the part and how crazy fast it got here. Parts Dr. rules.
