Repair & Advice
I was able to diagnose the problem from a internet search, and found the part at Parts Dr. for $40 less than a competitor. Parts Dr. also use the original manufacture part number rather than changing it to an internal number. This makes it easier to find what you are looking for. The website was well organized and shipping was super fast. The part itself is large as it replaces the entire panel behind the burner handles. Turn of the power, then burner handles come of first, the the rings around the handles (two screws on each), two additional screws on the face, one screw at each end (which might require pulling the stove out slightly), and eight (or so) screws on the bottom of the part. The part comes off with a little effort, but not much. There is a deflector plate which will need to be removed. You will see a bunch of wires and a second circuit board, this is not the part you are replacing. Look at the new part to identify the one connection you need to disconnect from that board and do so. You now have the old part removed. Reinstall the new part in the reverse order, and you are good to go. Total time approximately 45 minutes.
