Problem
GE washer would not drain. Machine would stop mid-cycle.
Tools
Screwdriver and adjustable pliers.
Repair & Advice
This job was very easy to do. I had replaced the water valve a few months ago and according to the codes ordered a new drain pump assembly. Online videos were VERY helpful. This is novice work to replace.

Problem
Water pump failed on GE HA washer
Tools
Screwdriver, pliers
Repair & Advice
This was simple repair, once I diagnosed the problem. Take off front cover of the machine, unscrew 2 screws holding the pump to the bottom of the housing, disconnect with simple clamps the inlet hose and the outlet hose. Replace pump. Worked perfectly.

Problem
The washer would run at first, but never completed a cycle and would only wet the clothes in the beginning.
Tools
Screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
The drainage pump is on the front panel at the very bottom. We removed the bottom panel for access. There are 3 phillips head screws on the bottom of the panel that ypu have yo remove before sliding the front panel down and out of the housing on the top. Make sure you open the drain to remove any water that's caught in there. Check for black mold. The pump is secured by a bracket that's held down with 3 or 4 screws just removing those is enough to get the pump free. After doing that it's just reversing the process and putting in the new one.
