Problem
Sears tech said it was the board or the lid lock. I, for some reason, ordered the lid lock through Amazon but ordered the wrong lock so ended up just installing the board and it what was wrong. You supplied the board in a timely manner . Sears had it back-ordered.
Tools
Impact driver with a 3 to 4-inch extension for 1/4" . Scrapper, 6 or 8" long screwdriver and Phillips. A flashlight too.
Repair & Advice
Use the flashlight to locate the clips to remove the top lid, they are a little tricky. Honestly, you have to be a little mechanical to do this but for me it was very easy because I enjoy repairing things. This can be done by most people with the help of videos.

Problem
Lid lock not releasing.
Tools
Screwdriver, nut driver.
Repair & Advice
The wires from/to the lid lock were inadvertently caught on the sheet metal back of the control panel when I replaced the first lid lock. This caused the coil to burn up and thus to not release. This also caused the main board to not send power to the lid lock thus requiring it to be replaced as well.
