Problem
Clothes were still very wet after the spin cycle was over.
Tools
Combination wrench, rachet, extension and socket.
Repair & Advice
Used a google search to help troubleshoot the problem. Tipped the washer over to access the bottom. Discovered the drive belt was very worn and loose. Found a data plate on the side of the machine with the model number. Found the replacement belt I needed on partsdr.com. Ordered the belt and received it within a week. Replacing the belt took about an hour, working at a leisurely pace. I needed my wife's help for part of that time. A second set of hands can make a BIG difference. Works great now. Saved a BUNCH of $$$$ by making this repair myself. Otherwise would probably have bought another washer. My first time working on a clothes washer. Not difficult. Much info available online. YouTube is an excellent source of info.

Problem
Worn belt
Tools
Flat screwdriver or putty knife and 3/8" wrench or socket.
Repair & Advice
I replaced the belt when I replaced the pump since I could see the belt was worn. Replacing it is fairly straightforward, remove the front panel from the washer by lifting up on two metal spring clips with a flat screwdriver or a putty knife. Loosen, but do not remove, the four nuts on the bottom of the motor with a 3/8" wrench and push/slide the motor back. You'll easily be able to remove the old belt. Slip on the new belt and pull the motor forward as far as you can and tighten the front two nuts, then the rear two nuts. It may be easier if you have someone hold the drum while you pull the motor forward to get the belt tight. Replace the front cover and you're done.
