Repair & Advice
Based on research determined worn suspension springs, along with worn shock dampers, were the likely cause of my problem. After watching several videos I settled on using a nylon rope to facilitate the removal and installation of the suspension springs. This made it very easy as well as a one-man job. Removal of the washer top panel was very easy to gain access to the springs. By simply placing the rope around the upper end of the spring I could pull the spring up and easily disengage it from its mounting point on the washer cabinet and then disengage the other spring end from the washer basket. Installing the new spring was just the reverse of the removal of the old spring.
Replacing these as well as the shock dampers solved my issue.
