GE dishwasher GDF540HMF6ES motor stopped working

In short the parts from PartsDr. fit perfectly, arrived on time, and were well priced. I had to replace the circulation pump/motor on my 3 year old GE dishwasher (purchased 2015). GE had discontinued manufacturing several mechanical parts on this dishwasher. I guess they discovered that the mechanical parts (motor, pump,) were poorly made and thus failed. I finally found the replacement part here on PartsDr. I would suggest anyone in the same situation to replace the same parts I did. The rubber hoses used in the manufacture of this product seem to dissolve - literally. Not long ago, I had to replace a gasket inside of the dishwasher so that the upper rack would get washed. I would caution the the hose clamps are wider (not diameter, but actual width) than the ones on the original GE dishwasher which used factory sealed clamps that could not be reused. Be careful with the wider hose clamps.

Circulation pump would not run

Phillips Screw driver, 1/4” nut driver, side cutter, pick,

Removed Water line, drain line, and power wire. Pulled dishwasher out from cabinet layed on its back. Removed bottom drip pan to access motor. Removed old wire harnes. Cut clamps off of old hoses and installed new parts.

My dishwasher drain pump was making noise and would not remove the water every time.

Standard hand tools were used.

The first time I received the parts, the drain pump was missing from the kit. I emailed with the problem and a complete new kit was sent out quickly. The repair went as expected after that. I removed the dishwasher and laid it on it's front face for the repair. This made the repair possible.
