Washer would run through cycle but water would never enter the machine.

Pliers, adjustable wrench, socket set, flat head screwdriver, Philips screw driver

GE PDT750SSF2SS dishwasher - Two grey grommets hide the two screws at the upper inside edge of the sidewalls at the entrance of the dishwasher. Two front feet at the bottom of the dishwasher unscrew to make it easier to slide out the dishwasher from the counter. Tape all of the screws on a piece of paper and put notations by each. Inlet valve is located on the forward lower left of underneath the dishwasher as you face the installed dishwasher. I tested my original inlet valve using a 12V lighter plug for an old phone inside my car - I just cut and stripped the ends of the old phone charger's wires and applied them to the inlet valve tabs and it did not operate, so I knew it was dead.

Poor water flow during the wash cycle.

Needle nose pliers, 1/4 nut driver, channel lock pliers.

The inlet vale screen became clogged by sediment, likely after pipe reconfiguration during a remodel/addition. Replacement of the valve took about 30 minutes and the washer is as good as new. Due to the position of the valve, it was much easier to access by pulling the dishwasher out and tilting it back. I needed to remove the front support bar in addition to the front cover plate. Not very difficult, but something I had not seen mentioned in previous tutorials.

No water inside the dishwasher

No water went inside the dishwasher. I checked the water supply & found that the water made it to the intake valve but nothing came out. Simple and inexpensive part to switch out. Only took a few minutes to switch it. New valve works perfectly.
