Glass cooktop was cracked

Socket wrench using both hex sockets and torx-head attachment or torx screwdriver

Just went on youtube and found a similar video. Once you remove the front panel to expose the wire harness, just disconnect the harness and remove the nuts that are holding the top in place. Carefully lift up the top and flip it over. From there, just unfasten all of the heat elements and transfer them over to the new cooktop. It's not really difficult. Anyone who's even moderately handy should be able to do this in about an hour.

The glass top cracked

I ordered a a cook top from the Parts Dr and I surprisingly it arrived the next day. I couldn’t find a YouTube video for instructions to swap it out so I dug right in and surprisingly it was as simple as disconnecting the old top and reinstalling the burners onto the new top. I marked the location of every clip with a marker to insure the burners went back into place the same way they came off. I was very happy with the website. It was easy to order the part I needed and surprised that it showed up at my door the next day. It was not difficult to swap out but you will need to have a bit of common sense and another set of hands to set it into place after placing the burners into the new top.
