Problem
Microwave turntable not turning.
Tools
Screw driver.
Repair & Advice
Replacing motor was simple, I unplugged microwave from wall power, removed about 6 screws on the bottom cover with a Philips head screwdriver. There is one screw holding motor in place, the other side sits on wedged lip. Pull the electrical connector out of motor, remove screw and twist clockwise to remove motor. Reverse process to put new motor in.

Repair & Advice
It was a long shot, but both me, and my in-laws appreciate reducing landfill and costs associated with buying new products.
My Mother-in-law and wife had been complaining about the plate not turning, and over thanksgiving, the whole family had an intervention encouraging the family to just spend the money on a new one.
I couldn't get it out of my head, and decided to do some research. There was a qrcode on the microwave and a google search brought me to this site.
It was a risk, but one I was willing to make if it would save them $400. That means if it worked >15% of the time, it'd be well worth it.
I was in and out in 30 minutes. I had watched one video about how to do this, but it was super easy. I was totally expecting to have wasted my $40 and the problem to be something else entirely, but I lucked out and the motor *was* the cuplrit.
