Problem
Turntable rotating in a jerking manner.
Tools
A Phillip's and a straight blade screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Easy repair. Be sure to unplug the oven before starting. If your microwave is installed above your range, I recommend that you place a large bath towel underneath the oven to catch any screws or parts you may drop.
To install the motor, start by removing the turntable and rotation ring from the oven. Then remove the motor shaft/turntable coupler. This may require gentle lifting the coupler with the straight blade screwdriver. Now remove the Phillip's head screws holding the bottom panel to the oven frame. Lift panel down and back. Remove the two small screws holding the old motor and pull it out. Note the orientation of the colored wires on the power connector. Disconnect the power connector from the motor.
Install the new motor. Tighten the two motor mount screws then back off a full turn to create some wiggle room. Then attach the turntable coupler to the motor shaft. This may require a little pressure and wiggling. Now re-tighten the motor mounting screws, re-connect the power connector in its original orientation, and closeup the bottom panel. Re-install the turntable and rotation ring. Plug in oven.
