My Whirlpool washer displayed F7E1 previously and I was able to reattach the motor run capacitor in the past however this time that didn’t do the trick. I assumed without testing the capacitor that it needed replaced, it looked beat up and hooking it back up worked in the past. When replacing the part changed nothing I looked up the error code and I was told it could be the speed sensor, the mother board, and overloaded machine or a loose wiring harness. Fortunately I noticed that a yellow wire was loose and fixed it with stuff I had laying around. I ended up with an extra capacitor but the bracket that was supposed to hold it on was missing so I used the new one and kept the old one as a spare. I had the unit serviced under warranty twice before and I believe they never put back the bracket intended to hold the capacitor in place and that’s why it came loose previously and why the yellow wire came loose.
