Problem
The dishwasher would quit mid-cycle.
Tools
Screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Cost from repair guy over $500. The dishwasher wasn’t worth it but didn’t have money for a new one. Since he had dishwasher pulled apart I did my own search for the part and did it myself. The part arrived quickly and has been working fine since.

Problem
Dishwasher would not fill with water
Tools
Hex screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Dishwasher would run but not fill with water. Tried the usual suspects (water hose, water inlet valve, float switch) but none of those were the problem. Had a repair person over who said the only thing left that it could be is the control board. He noted that the part had been changed by the manufacturer, and suspected the original board was defective or not of good quality. It is a pricy part, but one of the easiest repairs to DIY. Just take the door cover off, remove the old one, unplug the 7 or so connectors and replace with the new one. Repair guy would have charged $600 and I did it myself for about $130.

Problem
Dishwasher would not complete a cycle and would drain and shut down after just a few minutes.
Tools
# 2 Phillips screwdriver and a T20 torx driver, as well as a flat screwdriver for removing the gray retainer clips.
Repair & Advice
ALWAYS disconnect the power to the appliance before you begin, whether it be via the power source or the breaker. Open the door of the dishwasher and remove the screws around the door. Unplug the connection to the door and set the front face of the door aside. In the top right corner, the control unit is very visible. There is a small clip holding the unit in place on the top frame of the dishwasher door....using your flat screwdriver, press this down and carefully slide the unit to the left and pull the unit out. Remove the gray clips with the flat screwdriver. Unplug one connection at a time and plug them into the corresponding connection on the new unit. Once all connections are transferred to the new unit, place the new gray retaining clips in place and align the new unit into the slot and slide it to the right to lock it into place. Put the front door panel back in place, remembering to plug that connection back in. Once in place, replace all screws. Turn your breaker back on or plug your dishwasher back in. You are now ready to load your dishwasher, and enjoy having your dishes washed for you, once again
