Problem
The dryer door would not shut properly and wound open during the operation
Tools
1/4 in drive, Hex drive, long flat head screwdriver, long thin nozzle vacuum hose, thin gloves
Repair & Advice
Neither of the parts I purchased was used. The lint trap would not sit properly and was high enough to interfere with the glass on the inside of the door. UNPLUG UNIT Remove the top panel using 1/4 in drive. Remove instrument housing using 1/4 in drive. Remove the front panel and door assembly using 1/4 in and Hex drives. Remove the plastic lint trap assembly with hex drive, two of those screws are on the inside of the drum. Vacuum out accumulated lint mass. Put on gloves, the metal in this assembly is sharp. Use the long-handled flat-blade screwdriver to scrape the lint mass out of the metal housing. Put everything back and the lint screen should sit flush and operate as intended.
