Problem
The refrigerator was leaking due to a stopped-up drain.
Tools
Hex head wrench, mechanical scissors.
Repair & Advice
Water was leaking inside the refrigerator on the bottom and freezing this was due to a clogged defroster drain. I cleaned the piece once but it didn't last and started leaking again after a few months. I replaced the drain with a new trap and stopper and everything seems to be fine now.

Problem
Freezer leaking water onto the floor. Drain and Condensation tray icing up .
Tools
Quarter inch nut driver, utility knife.
Repair & Advice
Pull out refrigerator from wall unplugged refrigerator remove lower back panel cut off an inch and 3/4 of drain pipe with utility knife. Install P-trap drain assembly. This eliminates the need for the duck bill valve that attaches to the bottom of the pipe. Water in P-trap should keep air from getting back into the evaporator tray.

Problem
Frigidaire french door refrigerator defrost drain was stopping up, building ice in florr of freezer and ultimately dumping water on the floor.
Tools
Screwdriver, utility knife, steam generator
Repair & Advice
I was going to change the drain valve and tube myself, and could have, but I figured I needed professional help to clear the ice in the evaporator drain gutter, so I called a repair service. He did the job in about 30 minutes. If you can take the time to let the fridge defrost by itself, or just replace the tube before you get ice buildup, changing the drain tube is easy.
