Drill, screwdriver, stud finder, pencil.

Super-simple to use the bump-out bracket instead of the factory-supplied standard bracket. The accompanying templates were spot on (just need to trim to the black outlines.

Did not come out far enough from wall

We got new kitchen cabinets from Ikea and the mounting bracket that came with the microwave did not protrude enough from the wall. This bump out kit did what we needed. We don't have a low profile microwave - instructions and templates come for a normal sized microwave as well as a low profile microwave. I put a couple more toggle bolts in the bracket than the instructions called for even though I had two lag screws into studs.
