Repair & Advice
Our oven wouldn't light and with the holidays around the corner this was a no no. After googling the issue, I took a chance that it was the ignitor. I scoured the internet to find the correct part and came across this website.
After a bit of a delivery issue, FedEx was the problem, the part came. I, a 49 year old woman, went to work. I turned off the power and gas to the unit, removed the plate covering the ignitor and started my mission. It was a little hard at first because the screw affixing the ignitor was tighter than a drum. With some elbow grease and my son's muscle, it finally budged.
After getting it unscrewed, I removed the plate where the connector is located, removed the old ignitor, plugged in the new one and stood back to admire my work. But before I got too cocky I had to make sure it worked. So I turned the power back on to the unit and started the oven. My son and I waited with bated breath and finally, there was LIGHT! YES!
After turning off the oven and letting the ignitor cool off, we attached the new ignitor to the gas line and put everything back together. Now the real test began. After turning the gas and power back on to the unit, the oven was started again. In the immortal words of The Ohio Players there was FIRE! After numerous high fives, selfies and much jubilation, the mission was accomplished and I had a beer.
The old ignitor? It is on my desk at work as a trophy.
The end.

Problem
Oven igniter was broken.
Tools
Nut and boot driver, Philips head screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Removing the original igniter and gas tube was very easy. Installing the new igniter onto the tube took no time at all. Feeding the igniter wire through the back panel so it would clip in was the most challenging part of the installation.
