Problem
Kitchenaid refrigerator freezer cooling fine but upper fridge box was 62 degrees.
Tools
1/4 " nut driver and a standard screw driver.
Repair & Advice
I turned off the fridge and let the upper box defrost for 2 days. Then I removed all covers and drawers as well as the shelves to get to the evaporator motor and thermistor assembly. I un- plugged the assembly cable and applied a small amount of silicone grease to the rubber nibs holding the motor in place and gently pulled on each one to free the motor. I removed the thermistor and sensor. Then I installed the new assembly in reverse using the same rubber quieting gasket for the motor housing by gently pulling the rubber nibs back through the appropriate holes using need-based pliers. I re assembled the fridge and it has worked fine for 2 weeks now while I have waited 4 weeks for Sunrise appliance in Hickory NC to get the part to fix it under an expensive worthless waste of money extended warranty. Parts Dr. Was able to overnight the correct part an i was up and running the next day. Fixing it is not rocket science. Still waiting to hear back from the repairman. The said they couldn't get the part because of Covid shipping delays. What a joke. Parts Dr. Is the very best! Thanks.

Problem
Everything in Fridge was freezing.
Tools
Torx 25, Phillips and flathead screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Followed step by step YouTube video which is spot on. It takes longer to remove everything then it does to actually change the part. This part seemed to fix the issue (I also changed the damper which did not).

Repair & Advice
I’m a lab scientist and work on maintaining and repairing expensive lab equipment- so I figured how hard can this be for a 63 yo gal. Did my research on line, ordered the part and set aside a morning for the job. There is a decent U tube video to help through the process, but reading the comments 1st is helpful. One explains how you can skip a few steps, such as removing the doors and interior drawer frame, if you angle the evaporator cover by about 30 degrees to get it from behind the drawer frame. Took some force and bravery but it came out and went back in ok. Got the fan, made sure it worked and put everything back together. It is colder than ever and isn’t icing up any more. Only 1 problem - the under shelf lighting comes on and flashes at a regular interval. I know the shelves get their power from the hangers at the back and won’t work at all if that connection is bad, but mine come on and flash, not flickering - flashing at regular interval. Maybe I altered a setting while in maintenance, but don’t know which one or why there would be a flashing light setting at about 5 second intervals for the under shelf lighting?! Anyone have an ideas? Happy with the outcome anyway, my food is staying cold.
