Easy replacement. Only three screws and a 4 pin plug, however I had to completely disassemble the freezer shelving on my Kitchenaid freezer on the bottom to gain access to the ice maker. Took about 15 minutes to take apart and another 15 or 20 minutes to put back together. Well worth the savings of calling a repairman.

Ice maker quit working. After removal you could see it was fried.

Very easy to replace, but with a bottom freezer, you need to take freezer door off and remove shelves ( not to hard) first.
