Problem
Stopped making ice.
Tools
#2 Phillips screw driver, 1/4" nut driver.
Repair & Advice
Straight forward repair. Remove ice storage bin. Turn off switch. Remove four phillips head screws holding cover. Pull cover slightly forward to access connector for on/off switch on the left then remove the cover entirely. Remove two 1/4" hex head screws securing ice maker assembly. Lift the ice maker slightly to disengage the hooks on the ice maker from the door. This is a tight fit and you're working blind so be careful not to break anything. (Look at the new ice maker assembly to see what the hooks look like so you know what you're doing.) Reverse process to install new icemaker. It will take several hours (the manufacturer says up to 24 hours) to dump water and start making ice so don't think something is wrong with installation or part when it does not start making ice quickly. This is the third ice maker I've had in two years. I'm assuming this thing is inherently unreliable so I have already ordered another to have on the shelf as a spare.
