washer would not run due to lid latch error code

To replace the lid latch, one must open the top of the washer (tape lid shut to make it easier) remove the control panel, remove the lid-latch assembly & replace in reverse order. I suggest watching YouTube to see how to remove the control panel, as it is not intuitive.
