lower wash arm wasn't working

Should pull out the exiting pump first and check the metal filter is or isn't damaged. I had bought the lower washer arm diverter motor and that was not the problem. So when I bought this part, that part was included. There are tabs on the underside of the machine that hold the pat in place. Disconnect all the electrical connections from the part, the hoses, and then move the tabs and it comes out easy.

Problem
Circulation pump stopped working. Ingested its own filter causing pump to stop.

Pliers, T20 torx, philips screwdriver, straight screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Original pump ingested its own filter assembly. Filter is supposed to never need changing, which is probably true unless like mine it is the reason for the pump failure.
