KitchenAid French door fridge had worn gasket.

None needed.

I just purchased a house with KitchenAid appliances already installed( French door fridge 5 years old)... I noticed the right side (fresh food door) gasket was worn and the bottom overlapping flap had been ripped off by the previous owner..... I could still the inside the fridge while the doors were closed which was a bad thing... I googled KitchenAid French door gaskets and Parts Dr had what I needed and cheaper than Kitchenaid ($40.00 cheaper) so I ordered the gasket and followed instructions and put it on in about 20 minutes... It’s been 2 weeks now and I’m happy and content this gasket will hold for another 5 years.

My magnetic door strip has torn.

My hands and a plastic scraper to clean the debris out of the slot.

I had a torn door magnetic seal on my stainless 5-door Whirlpool refrigerator model WRV986FDEM01. There are informational videos to watch online. I always watch a video on any repair I do. This part was a perfect OEM fit. This part will fit the left or the right door (same size). Whether you order from here or another company, It comes deformed and wrinkled in a box. You have to get it back to its original shape prior to installing. I soaked it in hot water (bath tub) for several hours working the kinks with my hands. Once all the kinks and bends are straight I dried it. I then stuck it on the exterior of my refrigerator overnight so it would regain its original shape. After 24 hours I used my hands to pull the old seal off the door. I used a plastic pry tool to clear out the old debris from the door grooves. Installed the new seal starting near the top corner and worked my way around by sliding the new lip into the door grooves. I noticed a day after install the bottom corner closest to the hinges began to wrinkle slightly from the wedging friction of the new seal. I simply applied a small amount of grease near the bottom inside contact corner to reduce this pinching/pulling and it reformed straight again. There is no need for glue or hardware. Done!

Screwdriver and putty knife

Take the old gasket off, make sure to use the putty knife as my old gasket was glued on. When putting the new one on put the top corners on and then stretch to get bottom corners. Slowly work your way around
