Called appliance manufacturer to make sure of part number needed. Went on youtube to see if I could replace gasket myself. Looked pretty simple. Bought part and installed in less than 5 min.

Original gasket was torn & required replacing.

Putty knife.

After getting all the kinks out of the new gasket by laying it flat in a warm room, I used a putty knife to run around the channel in the fridge to loosen old gasket. After that, the old gasket came out & the new one went in with finger pressure. Entire time about 15 mins to actually take the old gasket out & put the new one in.

I was hesitant to order since the cost here was so much less than anywhere else. But I took a chance and am glad I did. When I held the new gasket up to the door it looked to be too large. But when to took off the original it was the same size. When the gasket fits into the track it takes up all of the slack. It did have some ripples and it didn’t sit completely flat against the frame. I went over it with a blow dryer and it smoothed out. At first the door didn’t seem to close securely, but the new gasket just needed to settle and flatten. Both of these issue may not have happened had it been warmer and it sat out flat longer prior to installation but I was impatient! It is now good as new! It took all of 10 minutes to remove the old gasket and replace. Plus maybe 5 minutes to heat. Very happy.
