Problem
Immediately upon starting the spin cycle, the washer was unbalanced and "clunking" loudly.
Tools
One small socket used to remove the top of the washer.
Repair & Advice
This couldn't have been easier, but admittedly, I have a moderate level of general repair knowledge. Remove 2 bolts from the back of the washer that holds the top in place, slide the top forward and lift. (SECURE IT IN PLACE! Don't let it fall and hit you in the back of the head like I did. It doesn't NOT feel good.) Lift one corner of the wash drum, pop the spring shaft up and out of its plastic holder, lower the top lid back down, tip the whole washer back and pull the spring shaft out. Slide the new one in place. Lift the drum, lock the new one into place within the plastic "seat". Repeat for the other 3.
I had 1 spring that was VERY rusted and loose. The others looked like the new ones I got in the pack. I replaced all of them, just in case, but kept the "new looking" old ones. Should another die.
Cheers to PartsDr. The parts were an exact fit and a great price. Shipping was fast and efficient. I would absolutely use them again.
