Problem
Intermittent code F06 when entering spin cycle, stopping the machine. Would sometimes spin out in rinse&spin or spin only mode, sometimes stop again with F06. Large/heavy loads seemed to make it worse.
Tools
Nutdriver, small screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Cleaned out lint trap in the bottom (careful, it will spill out water). Inspected belt and motor, they seemed ok. Replacing Motor Control Unit seems to have fixed the problem. New MCU was identical to old. No obvious damage to old part, except of the large capacitors may have been slightly bulging at the top.

Repair & Advice
My washer got the F11 code and it was either the mcu or the ccu. Since the cycle was starting and just not spinning, I figured out (with the help of YouTube) that it was the mcu. Took it apart, pulled the mcu out and sure enough it had black marks where it was fried. This part was easy to install and worked perfectly the first time I put it in. That was about a month ago and we're still washing just fine. I'm a 30 year old woman and had no problems doing it myself.
