Problem
Freezer light and all top refrigerator lights not working.
Tools
Screw driver and needle nose pliers.
Repair & Advice
Although Kitchenaid claims in the owner manual LED lights never need replacement I found that not to be true along with many other people. To make things worse they wire them in series so that if one goes out all the others on the same circuit stop working. Sort of like 1950 Christmas tree light technology. After searching web sites I discovered this and that the usual suspect is the freezer light module. The freezer module is connected by a very difficult to see and reach the connector . Some of the instructions online said to remove the freezer door but I was able to complete the task by only removing the upper drawer.

Problem
Top LED lights in refrigerator were dim, bottom freezer light out.
Tools
Screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Researched as to what causing top LED lights to be dim. Found out that bottom freezer light was out. This light is in series with top LED lights. I ordered replacement part from PartsDr. I was not able to remove the top slide out drawer of freezer. I emptied out contents from top drawer. Then using a small screw driver, I removed the LED light in freezer. Connection cable is quite short, I was able to carefully pry out connection, which appeared to be glued inside light cutout area. With that, there was just enough lead on the wire to disconnect the light and then reconnect the new light. Bottom freezer LED light had connector attached, which was fairly easy to reattach to freezer. Once connected, I opened up the top doors at which time I could see the top LED lights were once again shining bright. Finally I snapped the LED light back into the freezer.
