Dishwasher ‘start’ button would not function/illuminate

Dishwasher periodically worked but finally the Start button refused to function. Unplugged and disassembled front door (several Torx and Phillips screws). Discovered corrosion on controler circuit board. Ordered a new one from Parts Dr. , slapped it in - tada! Dishwasher good as new again.

Star head screwdriver and hex head screwdriver tool set.
Repair & Advice
Removed door panel. removed old control panel and interface. reassembled using new control panel and interface. now starts on first try.
