Problem
Freezing food in the refrigerator while at the mfr recommended setting
Tools
Screwdriver with socket attachment and a Philips screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Unplug the refrigerator. Take the top shelf out for a little more room to work. Remove the temperature setting knobs carefully, take note of which knob is for freezer and refrigerator. Remove only the screws in behind the housing. You will need to stick your head in and look . Using the socket remove the 2 screws. Using the Philips remove the conduit covering the line running back along the top left corner then remove the housing in the left rear corner exposing the coil of sensor wire. Very carefully pull the front housing down to expose the wiring and thermostat. Take a digital picture for reference. Remove the green wire, orange wire and red wires. Remove 2 bolts holding the thermostat. Remove and set aside. Reverse steps.

Problem
My shop fridge was freezing all of my beer! This is unacceptable!
Tools
Screw driver, determination & a thirst for NON frozen beer!
Repair & Advice
Tested the thermostat, and ordered a new one from PartsDr, Part arrived in a VERY TIMELY manner!
Took about 15 minutes to remove the front control cover and replace the thermostat. The only difficult part was pushing the thermocouple through the plastic sleeve. A little cumbersome, but just take your time (think of the cold beer you will soon enjoy)
Power fridge back up, placed a thermometer in the fridge, adjusted the thermostat to provide ICE COLD BEER but not freeze it!
I am happy to report that my beer has been staying at an optimum drinking temp since replacing the thermostat!
p.s. We use the extra freezer space in the shop fridge to store vacuum-sealed fresh veggies from the garden! I'm happy to report that the issue didn't harm any fresh vegetables, but we all know that is secondary to the alcohol abuse that was going on in the fridge!
