Washer would not drain. Error was "Dr"

Screwdriver for the back panel. Pliers for the hose clamps, screwdriver for the pump.

Best of luck getting all of the water out of the washer! We ended up tilting the washer to bail out as much as we could, then threw down some dirty towels to help soak up the remaining water that we knew would drain when we put the washer on its side. Removing the old pump was easy. Unplug the washer from the power outlet. Turn off the water supply & disconnect the hoses from whichever end is easiest. Turn the washer on its side & remove the back panel & foam insulation. Locate the pump & disconnect from power & hoses. Then remove the screws (there were 3 for this pump.) Remove the pump & put the new one on its place. Attach with screws, reconnect hoses & power, replace insulation & set washer right side up. Test your new pump!! If all goes well then your can replace the back panel & catch up on laundry!

Washer wouldn’t drain and stopped working.

Screwdriver, socket wrench.

My washer stopped, and water was still in it along with clothes. Had to first figure out how to get the water out. Took the back of the washer apart and disconnected the drain hose then held the drain hose down into a tote to drain the water. Then took the washer outside and put it on its side to locate the drain pump. Took the drain pump off and took it apart. The spinner inside was broken and was not attached. Ordered this part after looking up online what the part number was. Once the part came we put it back in and put the washer back together. Worked great! Saved $170 doing it myself.

Took out old one. Put in new one.
