A rat chewed through the black rubber elbow on a pump.

A rat had chewed through the black small rubber elbow that is connected to the pump. I had purchased a pump with the elbow from whirlpool the first time. The part purchased from you was a little cheaper but identical to the first one. We had run the dishwasher on one cycle before the second incident took place. My complaint is that I had to purchase the whole pump to get the small elbow (probably a $10 part. ) I now have a pump that has 1 hour of use that I have no use for. I ended up wrapping the black hoses with steel wool to prevent this from happening again. Would you be interested in purchasing a pump that has 1 hour of use?

Wash pump would not run.

Phillips screw driver, side cutters, CV boot clamp pliers.

A CV boot clamp pliers worked well to cinch the new discharge elbow clamp. An end nippers would also work if used carefully.
