Repair & Advice
I have a whirlpool french door freezer on bottom, model # WRF560SEYM04
My freezer kept freezing over on the evaporator coils - I did some diagnostics and ordered a new thermister from Parts Dr and installed it - that took about 10min and now fridge freezer works perfectly!
Now I had already taken my freezer apart multiple times so was practiced at taking the door off, baskets out, ice maker out, back panel off, so it only took ten min for me but may take longer if this is your first time opening up your freezer.
There are 4 screws that’s hold door to freezer on- loosen don’t remove and freezer door will lift up and off.
The slider drawer must be slid all the way out and then ice catcher tray has to be slid all the way to the back- you push up on two tabs(one on each side) of the bottom of the ice catcher tray- push up hard and back at same time, tray should slide back and off of drawer slid, now pull forward and up to remove.
The bottom basket comes out by pushing the sides inwards to release two tabs on each side allowing the basket to come up and out.
Now you can remove ice maker- loosen two top screws, remove one bottom one. Lift up and it will slide off of two screws and move away - unplug wiring harness.
Now remove thermometer cover on right side using a flat head screw driver and pushing the tab in and gently pull out on the white cover. Leave thermometer hanging by its wire. remove all screws holding back panel to fridge and remove grey plastic fan cover, then pull gently on panel at the top edge it will just about slide up and out over the thermometer- careful not to pull its wires. ***note*** if your freezer is frozen up already you will have to use a hair dryer to melt the ice or the panel will be frozen to the evaporator coils.
Thermister is located on the right- clipped to one of the evaporator pipes, it has one plug to unplug and then replace. Be sure to defrost the freezer coils completely if they are frozen up before putting everything back together!

Problem
Over icing on my evaporator causing Loud Noise from the fan in my freezer.
Tools
Philips screwdriver, #10 socket, hair dryer.
Repair & Advice
If you have a loud noise coming from the refrigerator, one reason could be a defective thermistor or heater. Mine was a thermistor but I changed both.
