Door handle was broken

Star drill bit, power screw driver

Repair took less then 10 minutes. I did need an extra set of hands to hold the metal front door in place in order to screw it all back together.

Handle broken, top of door loose, hard to open.

Phillips and Torx Screw drivers.

Because of a bad design, undue pressure is put on the handle and control panel when you open the dishwasher. The handle broke in three places and the plastic screw posts broke on the control panel. The control started acting erratically so I replaced both the handle and control panel. Before I put the new parts in, I added epoxy to the spots where the old ones broke in hopes of beefing up the plastic. I also told the family to pull more with their fingertips when opening the door instead of at the bottom of the door handle which stresses the handle. Time will tell.
