Repair & Advice
If you have the Whirlpool Architect II Series dishwasher, my condolences. After about 6 years of use, you will need to replace a whole lot of parts. Mind you, it won't happen all at once. You'll fix the leaking drain pump only to have to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter again 3 weeks later to replace the rack rails, and then again in a few weeks to fix some other problem. Luckily, there's Parts Dr! They have a large supply of in-stock parts, super-fast delivery and the best prices around. Believe me, I've done the research. Everything we've ordered has been OEM and you wouldn't know the difference once the new piece is in. In this case, our upper rack pieces virtually disintegrated and we had to replace multiple parts at once. The positioner just clicks into place. Only took a few seconds. All said, we replaced the adjusters, positioners, and clips on both sides in a matter of minutes and were up and running again in no time. If you haven't already disassembled your rack, take pictures first. We couldn't remember where one clip went in the end and just left it off. Couldn't tell from any of the diagrams where it's supposed to go or what function it serves. We'll probably regret that at some point.
