Problem
Intermittent heat and no cool down feature would run on my dryer
Tools
Socket and Phillips screwdriver
Repair & Advice
I'm a 59 year old female and was able to replace the timer in my dryer all by myself. I watched a YouTube video one time and when I saw how simple it was to replace I decided I could do it and save myself over $300.00 the repairman wanted after he diagnosed the problem. It was a very easy job and only took about 15 minutes from start to finish. Parts Dr had the timer I needed in stock and at the lowest price I found. They shipped fast and now my dryer is running perfectly.

Problem
Timer not counting down; intermittent heating.
Tools
Screw driver; 1/4” nut driver.
Repair & Advice
As a DIY kind of guy, I try to fix things before trashing, getting full mileage out of things before sending to the curb. The dryer heating intermittently; the timer not advancing. Your website was the only resource that specifically said this is my problem: the timer. Of the many troubleshooting flow charts I followed, they put the timer as “least likely to fail”. Ordering part was easy; delivery time was acceptable; installation 15-20 minutes.
