Torx drivers, channel locks, screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Although the correct part number was on the box, the first housing I received was the wrong one. I contacted Partsdr and they immediately sent me the right one. Installation was not too difficult, the first video I saw showed pressing the housing in place with the dishwasher upright and then turning the dishwasher on it's side to turn the tabs to lock it in place. This didn't work for me! Simply press it in place and lift the insulation and reach under and turn the tabs, so much easier, then turn the dishwasher over and complete Installation.

Repair & Advice
A repair person identified the problem but could not locate the part. I tried a couple of other sites but the part was back-ordered. PartsDr said they had the part at the best price I could find. I ordered it and it arrived in a few days. There was an excellent video on the Whirlpool site that had very explicit step by step instructions. I wasn't sure if I could complete the repair as the serviceman who had identified the problem had retired and I couldn't find anyone else in my area who would do the job. I got to point where I would try myself and if the repair worked - fine. If not, I would buy a new dishwasher. I carefully followed the video instructions and everything worked out fine. The video was ~ 35 minutes and I probably spent about 3 hours on the repair job. Would never have been able to do the repair without the video and great service from Parts Dr.
