Problem
Paddle stopped dispensing water after 15 years
Tools
screwdriver cell phone
Repair & Advice
I read some of the reviews and determined the paddle was bad and ordered another one. I took pictures of the dispenser on it's way out especially the spring. It went together very easily and saved myself the $2000 my wife was threatening to buy a new one. She is happy now , but not!

Problem
Broken water dispenser lever.
Tools
1/4” socket. Plastic scraper (to pop off the trim cover).
Repair & Advice
The water dispenser no longer operated. I wasn’t sure if it was a broken lever, switch, or electric problem.
Removed the trim cover (see below) with a plastic scraper blade ( to protect the stainless steel finish and the plastic trim) and found that the lever was broken.
The replacement part arrived in few days.
This was super easy, just take care to be gentle when removing the cover, there are plastic molded snaps.
Mine survived without a problem, but it would be a more expensive fix if the snaps are broken.
Turn off water.
Unplug fridge.
Removed 2 screws with 1/4” socket.
Pop off trim cover with plastic scraper
Disconnect wiring clips
Broken lever fell out...
Snap fit new lever in place
Reconnect wires
Press cover back in place
Drive 2 screws.
