You can replace the door lock latch assembly without taking the whole front of the machine off, which is a hassle. You remove the spring loaded wire clamp off the door boot. You then remove the boot by peeling it 2 screws that hold the switch to the front panel. Then you reach in and pull the switch out through the opening where the boot was removed. Once the switch is exposed remove the wire harness from the switch. Reverse the process. The only tricky part is to press the rubber door boot back fully into the groove at the front panel. Once it is back in place you must reinstall the spring loaded wire clamp. An extra hand or two is a great help here.
