Problem
I had gotten a CF E code on my LG bottom freezer refrigerator. After further searching I found it to be bad condenser fan. I could only find the fan two places and Parts Dr being one of them with the fastest lead time. Glad I found them on the internet, had my fan within 4 days.
Tools
Cordless drill with a Phillips bit and a flat tip screw driver
Repair & Advice
Woke to a CF E code on my LG fridge display, after further review I found it to be a condenser fan issue. Pulled my fridge out, unplugged it and pulled the inspection cover off the back. Plugged it back in and noticed the fan trying to run but just never got going. So I took a picture with my cellphone so I could order the right model number. The first place I found it was going to take me 6 weeks, so I kept looking and found it on parts dr and could get it within a week. So I ordered the new fan, but got to thinking about it and decided to leave my inspection plate off in the back and get a small box fan and set it behind my refrigerator to cool my condenser until the new replacement fan came, because I didn’t want my condenser overheating and causing more issues. So anyway it worked perfectly and within the week my new fan came I installed the new fan and it has been quite and no more codes on the display.
