Repair & Advice
Got a good deal on a floor model convection range and Home Depot, get it home and it wouldn't turn on. I reached out to home depot and they said they would replace it with a brand new range but a baseline model. I pulled off the back plate and noticed the cable wasn't even attached to anything. When I viewed the replacement cord on Parts Dr. - I noticed the cable should have a plug to attach to the male plug inside the range.
I ordered the part from Parts Dr with next day shipping as I didn't want to wait too long to attempt to fix before going back and forth with Home Depot. I received the cable the following day, I was nervous shipping would be delayed because it was right before Thanksgiving! I plugged it in and my Range was working perfectly!
I then got in touch with Home Depot and told them the problem had been solved and they agreed to pay for the replacement cord (and shipping). Annoyed I paid hundreds of dollars for an appliance that wouldn't even power on, but thanks to Parts Dr I was up and running in no time!
