My original glass cook top was cracked and Samsung wanted to charge crazy money for the repair

PartsDr is the cheapest and reliable source to get your part. This cook top work for NE59J7630SS. I removed the screws under the cook top that are accessible by opening the oven door. You can pop out the cook top but the heating elements asm is stuck to the wire. So you need to open the rear panels and unplug the wiring (3 or 4 connection). Then go back to the front and lift up your cook top with the wire harness. Transfer the heating element asm, it is held by 5 screws, to the new glass cook top. Reassemble.

One of the burner glass tops was broken, needed replacing.

Only 11 screws to remove, very simple installation would recommend having a helper if possible only to hold top in place when removing and re-installing.

A crack had formed in the glass.

First, remove three screws you can see when opening the oven door. After that is done you will be able to move the top and see the other screws that attach the heating elements to the glass. Remove those (noting that a couple of them have wires that attach back to the new glass) and then you will be able to remove the old glass. Install new glass in reverse order remembering to attach the wires back to what they were removed from.
