Samsung Range - broken knob. Knob was poorly designed and manufactured.

Look closely at the knobs on any range you may buy. If they're cheaply made then you'll have to replace them. The Parts Dr. had the part I needed and they shipped promptly although the part wasn't inexpensive.

Burner knob broke inside and would no longer stay on.

Used my fingers to order a replacement knob. Pretty easy.

Once I received the knob the repair took 5 seconds

After moving into the house, we discovered that one of the stovetop burner knobs was broken (the plastic part that kept the knob secure was cracked; previous occupants tried to fix this with electrical tape).

My hands

I found the part online based on the manual and I found that partsdr.com had the piece I needed. I literally just pulled off the broken knob (which was easy) and securely plugged in the new knob. I'm not handy at all but this much I could manage.
