The center element on the triple-coil heating element on our Samsung range did not work. The small center heating coil had a broken section in the middle. Although the other two outer coils worked, heating was not even and fast enough for cooking.

An Ohm meter, screw driver and cell phone camera.

I took a picture before taking the old element off from the range bottom for a proper wiring with the new element. After the new element was installed the power was restored to test, but the new heating element did not work. It was confirmed that there was a small design change to the terminals after comparing the continuity of both heating elements with an Ohm meter. Connecting one of the wires to a different terminal, where the 215 VAC hot wire is supposed to be connected, it worked beautifully. We like this new heating element purchased from the Parts Dr.com because it seems to heat faster and evenly. Thanks for your high quality part! John

I did not remove the entire top glass to replace, i propped it up like a car hood on the front, removed old element and installed new. Note the numbers on element for alignment dont match always on the old and new. Just put your wires in and place element where it needs to be, the clips for holding it will mount anywhere on the element not just the pre-cut spots.

Remove glass top by unscrewing hidden screws underneath top. Pull out glass top and raise and support top. Remove coil, then reverse this procedure.
