Was going unbalanced even with minimal clothing.

Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver pliers

This was my first time replacing the spring rods. The total time was about an hour. Watched YouTube video on how to disassemble the washer. Removed the panel board, the four corner screws. Unscrewed the 3 ground wires on the back. Unscrewed the compartment or casing which has 3 screws. There is a green wires that ran from this compartment in the panel board down to the bottom of the washer. Just removing these screws gave me a enough room to move the top at an angle to access the spring rods. I replaced the spring rods by pulling up in the drum and using a flathead screwdriver and pliers to lift the spring rod over the latch. The back right rod has a wire clip in the middle of the rod. I needed to remove the back panel on the washing machine to access this clip. I had the parts mailed to me within two days.

Washer was shaking real bad bought some cheap Amazon parts and it didn’t fix it. Order OEM parts from dr parts and it fixed the problem. Dr parts will be all my repair parts going forward.

Screw driver set is all that is needed for this repair.

Very easy repair just u tube on how to remove the top of your washer to reach the suspension rods. 35 minutes to complete repair.

Every load of laundry would cause my washer to display the “unbalanced” error code, and the load (no matter how big or how small) would never spin out properly.

My washer was a bit newer than the one in the how to video. The thing that took the longest was finding the screws that held the lid on. Which were behind the control panel, underneath a piece of plastic. But after that switching out the rods literally took less than 15 minutes. My washer is working perfectly now.
