Problem
Washer would restart spin cycle over and over due to being out of balance.
Tools
Socket set, screw drivers and pliers for the hose clamps.
Repair & Advice
I have a WF419AAU/XAA from around 2006 that started shaking around 2020 so I replaced all four shocks with OEM Samsung and shaking stopped for about a year (I also replaced the spider while I was in there because I expected it to be bad after 14 years but it was actually fine). Anyway, since the shaking started again I looked at the shocks and they still felt fine so I decided to replace the balance ring since the weight balls and fluid seemed to sometimes stick a bit when the drum was manually rotated. I installed the new balance ring and the washer is working again without any spin restarts due to being "out of balance".

Repair & Advice
This was not a terribly difficult repair, but does require some patience and a few hours of time. Pretty straightforward, just lots of hoses and screws to take off. Hardest part for me was removing the drum assembly. It’s a heavy and clumsy piece. I’d suggest getting a second set of hands at that point. Once back together, it worked perfectly. The part arrived quickly and fit just as designed.
