CustomerAndrew from GA
After moving into a new home and moving the dryer, the dryer presented with a high pitched squeek. Sometimes the squeek would go away, other times it would be loud and persistent.
Phillips head screw driver, common sense.
Repair & Advice
On this dryer the top lifts up as a entire section, remove the Phillips head screws from the rear of the machine at the top, (2) screws. Then wedge something that’s hard plastic between the seem on the front and the top will separate and hinge up at the back. Be cautious of the wires, they are fine, prop the top up with something. Next remove the Phillips head screws across the face and top of the dryer out. (8) screws. Then lift, by the dryer door, the entire face piece off to access the dryer drum. Once removed grab the drum, being cautious of the belt and remove it to access the idler pulley. One screw holds the assembly to the dryer, and you can use a flat head to pop the triangle shaped pulley stop off. Once it’s off remove the old pulley, slide the new one on and reverse the procedure to put the dryer back together.
