Plastic encased cement weight broke (design flaw IMO). Samsung front loader.

Purchased weight and it fit perfectly, website was good.

This was a easy repair, takes about an hour. Weight is right at the front. Very worthwhile to DIY.

Samsung front loading washer - had very severe vibration and noise during spin cycle. Upon inspection (removing the top panel so I could see down inside), the factory plastic counterweight located on the top side of the wash drum had cracked open and pieces of the concrete had come out and fallen to the bottom of the chassis, leaving the drum more and more out of balance, the more pieces that were falling out.

Phillips screwdriver, needle nose pliers, Socket w/ratchet.

This wasn't too difficult to replace - Before I started, i found a tutorial video on YouTube and used some tips from the video to get me going on the project.

Washer made banging sounds.

Screwdriver, ratchet wrench and socket.

Took lid off, took control panel off, disconnected wiring, removed broken counterweight, put new counterweight on, put washer back together.
