The cold water inlet valve failed and kept dumping cold water into the wash basin. Apparently the solenoid was stuck in the open position. It also appeared random at first but then got worse over time .

At first I did not know what was going on and I realized I just replaced it and like fell for an old fridge, a whirlpool refrigerator. This time the water dispenser would not dispense water. I assume the solenoid In this situation was stuck in the closed position. So I simply replace it in the refrigerator is working fine as for the washing machine it was a different story. I knew immediately what was wrong by how wasn’t sure if you were still on the warranty. I decided to buy the part replace it and it’s working perfectly. I would advise to open the machine first and check on the part you need as I made the mistake of ordering the part ahead of time without actually opening the machine because I thought it was just a simple one way water inlet valve not a four chambered inlet valve. Apparently the single and let valve is made for the hot water side I just installed it and went ahead and ordered the four chambered side for the cold valve that I needed to replace. I must say, that was a very easy install getting the hose clamps could be a little cumbersome just use a pair of needle nose pliers and just work them off and try to remember the placement of each hose, and each of the four electrical connections, for the most part they are color-coded but it’s best to take a photograph before you do anything.
