Repair & Advice
The water filter tank case is easy to install once you have turned the water off, you need to mover the refrigerator out to get to the back of the appliance to disconnect the water supply plastic pipes. Once disconnected from the back the original unit which is inside in the middle under the middle shelf it has three electric sockets to remove at the back internal wall new unit only has two due to a redesign. You can not mess these connectors up because they are specific male/female connectors. Once removed just install and reconnect new unit it is easy, it takes a while for the water to come through due to having to fill up the reservoir and air in the system.

Repair & Advice
I just finished replacing the control unit for water and ice on a French door style Samsung refrigerator. Since I could not find any info on replacement, I am providing these notes. (even the box with the part did not have any info) The replacement unit has the three water output tubes ( upper freezer, lower freezer and in the door water dispenser ) - there is of course a fourth tube for water connected to the house water system. These tubes come color coded ( or almost as there are to white tubes ). The longest one is Blue and it connects to the door water dispenser at a John Guest (push on) connector under the top hinge cover - use a two step ladder to get to the removable cover and remove 1 screw. Wiggle the cover up and sideways (outward) to remove the cover. Underneath is a British style push on connector. If you haven't seen one before, Google 'john guest' for the video - pictures are better then words for this. The new blue line connects here. Next is the Gray tube - connects to the top ice maker - use a !/4" brass tubing connector with sleve inserts for the tubing. The brass connectors are readly available at Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware etc. It is MUCH easier to use a connector than to fight with the icemaker to connect the new line internally. John Guest connectors are only availablle in the US at speciality stores at on line shopping. Besides I like the brass ones much better. Then we get to the confusing part - the two remaining white tubes - a short one and a longer one. The short one connects to the lower freezer ice maker with a push on connector. The longer white one connects to the water supply line - again with a connector. Make sure to cut the plastic tubing with a sharp (new blade) rezor knife. Cut at a 90 degree angle and make sure that there are NO small pieces hanging onto the cut edge. Cheers

Repair & Advice
Watched Parts Dr. video on repair. Followed step by step and took my time. Repair was easy. My refrigerator removal of tank case just had to slide to remove vice depressing side latches. This repair fixed all issues and operates like new. Shipping was fast and my tank case even came with a new water filter. Very happy customer and would highly recommend to anyone needing parts. Video was awesome. Anyone could do this repair. Thank you Parts Dr.
