Problem
Low flow from water dispenser, ice maker not making ice, hammering sound when asking for water
Tools
Screwdriver, pliers
Repair & Advice
Started with hammering when requesting water, ice maker didn't make much ice, and finally no water flow from door. It was a quick repair, disconnected water lines, pulled the crisper drawers, and the trim above the doors. Disconnected water lines and the filter case came right out with two connectors to disconnect. Reinstalled lines. I did add a filter to the line before the fridge to hopefully help this. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was the front face of the replacement filter case was a different contour than the original, but functionally the same. It was the same part number though. Took me about 2 hours, but next time could probably do it in 45 minutes.

Problem
The externally mounted (in the door) ice/water dispenser stopped working unless we took the water filter out. Research online indicated that the problem was likely a result of a faulty water filter case assembly. I also had someone diagnose the issue and they wanted $200 in addition to the part to fix it.
Tools
Wrench, screwdriver and drill (simply to cut down time)
Repair & Advice
I simply watched a Parts Dr. youtube video specific to a Samsung refrigerator and the steps that needed to be taken to replace the water filter case assembly. It was a piece of cake after watching the youtube video. There were some very slight differences between the models but that worked out just fine because they were fairly minor. For someone to want to charge $200 (in addition to the part) for this repair is highway robbery so I would encourage everyone to leverage youtube (and the Parts Dr. channel) to try to find your issue and do the repair yourself. I am a finance professional (but reasonably handy) and had no issues at all with this repair.
